ER Visit!

We had our first ER visit for Stella tonight. Mommy went into the entryway closet to find a pair of Stella's shoes, Stella heard mommy in the closet and joined her because she wanted the kid sized boxed apple juice on the shelf. Stella asked for one, reached up to the top shelves (which she can't reach) and tripped over the step stool (because mommy is vertically challenged) and fell into mommy's new shelves and clipped her nose on the metal track (from Ikea- mommy's answer to coat closet organization- but now apparently a hazard!). We didn't know how deep the cut was and because it's on her nose we thought it should get checked out because it is quite the long laceration on Stella's nose. The end result- a laceration that didn't cut through her nose that requires some antibiotic ointment and lots of band-aids (Stel LOVES band-aids). Hopefully this will heal nicely as Stella is quite the scab picker.
Oh how Children's hospitals know how to deal with kids! Stella wasn't sure about being checked out so they brought in bubbles, a book and a light spinning toy so that everything could be checked out!

On a side note- mommy has a new job and we've switched policy holder from Michael to Liz- never have we had to use our insurance 4 times in a two week span without a medical card and before we've hit the system under Liz yet! We've used the dentist (Liz), dermatologist (Stella for her never ending diaper rash), a prescription for said diaper rash and now the ER!

P.S. Please pardon the fogginess in the photos- this humidity is out of control!
